hereby propose to furnish lemonade as specified to the Arnold Mills Parade Association,
Cumberland, RI. The proposed contract price for these items is: ____________.
The undersigned shall, on July 4,
2008, after notification by the Awarding Authority, furnish lemonade on the
parade route for the Arnold Mills Parade Association, Cumberland, RI.
The undersigned certifies that he/she
has read and fully understands the specifications and conditions for bidding
of this contract and that he/she will carry them out to the best of their ability.
The undersigned certifies under penalties
of perjury that this bid is in all respects bona fide, fair and made without
collusion of fraud with any other person. As used in this section, the word
"person" shall mean any natural person, joint venture, partnership, corporation,
or other business or legal entity.

Conditions for Bidding
- Proposals shall be sealed, plainly
marked as such on the envelope and filed with the Arnold Mills Parade Association,
PO Box 7473, Cumberland, RI 02864 on or before May 14, 2008 at 5:00 PM. Therefore
to be publicly opened and read at the Arnold Mills Parade Association meeting
in May 2008.
- All proposals must be typewritten
or written in ink. Any change or strikeout must be initialed by the person
signing the bid.
- Prices shall be listed for each
service.
- Bidders must guarantee that the
services can be delivered to the Arnold Mills Parade Association within the
time specified in the specifications.
- Bidders shall furnish sufficient
descriptive literature with their proposals as required by the specification.
Proposals which do not in the opinion of the Awarding Authority meet the specified
requirements will not be accepted.
- The Arnold Mills Parade Association,
Cumberland, RI, reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, also to
accept any proposals, not necessarily the highest proposal, if it is deemed
to be for the best interest of the Association to do so.
- The Awarding Authority is the
Board of Directors, Arnold Mills Parade Association, Cumberland, RI.
- The Arnold Mills Parade Association
is a not-for-profit organization.
- Proposals must be valid for the
period up to and including the July 4th parade.
- Certifications, if required, shall
be made part of the bid package.
- Any deviation from these specifications
must be noted with the bid. The bidder shall provide a written basis for why
the deviation should be considered as acceptable.
Technical Specifications
Vendor: Exclusive Rights
for lemonade (frozen) along the parade route.

The following conditions must be
adhered to:
- All vending carts and vehicles
must be located on streets and not infringe on private property or interfere
with the progress of the parade or road race as coordinated by the vendor
chairperson of the Arnold Mills Parade Association. Maximum--twelve (12)
locations, minimum--ten (10) locations.
- All vending carts and vehicles
must display vendor authorization signs issued by the Arnold Mills Parade
Association.
- Prices charged by the vendor must
be in keeping with that specified in the bid and must be within allowed norms
for the area and the function. Please specify size of cup and price per cup.
- No alcoholic beverages are allowed.
Failure to adhere to these regulations may result in forfiture of bidding
rights on future parades, a penalty fee, and/or police intervention. A clean
up fee may be charged unless areas are properly policed around vendor carts/vehicles.
- All vendors must comply with safety,
noise, moral, litter, and police regulations.
- License and insurance (liability)
must be bona fide. Copies of up-to-date documents must be submitted with this
proposal.
Rain Policy
The Arnold Mills Parade Association
will adjust the fee paid by the vendor if (because of rain) sales and profit
are determined to have been reduced. This fee will be determined by a vote of
the Board of Directors of the Arnold Mills Parade Association at the next scheduled
meeting of the Board following the Parade. This adjustment should not be considered
automatic.
